Our Mission

Protecting Lives in Wyoming's Backcountry

The Dubois Search & Rescue Foundation was established to fund, equip, and sustain the volunteer rescue team serving Dubois and the surrounding Upper Wind River Valley — one of Wyoming's most remote and rugged regions.

Our all-volunteer team responds to backcountry emergencies year-round, from technical mountain rescues in summer to winter snowmobile callouts and avalanche response. Operating without paid staff, we depend entirely on the generosity of our community and donors to keep our crew trained and equipped.

Every contribution directly funds rescue equipment, training, vehicles, communications gear, and medical supplies — ensuring our volunteers have everything they need when seconds count.

What We Do

Year-Round Search & Rescue Operations

From summer wilderness searches to winter snowmobile callouts and aerial rescues, our team is trained and ready for any terrain, any season.
